Working on the B-Side
That would be the "B"rian Stelfreeze side.
I went to Brian's watercolor workshop(at Gaijin Studios) and had way too much mad knowledge stuffed, dropped, and pummeled into my brain.
I learned a new technique and had a lot of fun too.
here are the results.

I"m putting a Kingpin sketchcard up for grabs. check it out here>> Kingpin listing.
I'm curious to see how things turn out.

Blast from the past
I'm going to get nostalgic today. Here is a painting I did almost 10 years ago when was living in Japan. This was done in the first few months I arrive in the country and a was a bit penniless at the time.
I was staying in a Hostel type situation in Kyoto, and the TV room at the place is where all of the travelers( from every corner of the globe, and even some Japanese youth that were unplugged from society) would get together, talk and have fun. Every evening it was kind of like getting together with you family and just hashing out any frustrations or celebrating accomplishments.. There was always lots of laughing and joking.
I started to take advantage of the situation and decided to paint some of the guys. I only got two done before I found a job in Osaka and moved. But this picture was of Tracy. I never kept in touch but I remember she was from Canada and was very quiet and kind.
The watercolor set I did this with- I bought in downtown Kyoto, near Kawaramachi( for those would know), and It's the best watercolor set I've ever had.. I still use it to this date, and most of the watercolor commissions you've seen on my blog were done using this same set.. It's almost ten years old now, but it's still helping me to do my paintings.
