Marvel Sketch Cards '08

The paint is still drying on these. Had to do let a few go without adding some "final touches". I guess they're supposed to be "sketches" so I don't feel awful. Still would have liked to add some more "bling" to these guys.

Zatanna.

boobage alert!

Poison Ivy

QuickPaint. Suggested by Todd.

Wolvie

Not quite a quick paint like the others. But a semi quick paint.

The Spirit

Supes

I'm trying to do quick paints now. At least 2-3 a a week hopefully.

Zorro

I did this headshot for David at the Baltimore Con last year. He was kind enough to send me a jpeg of it.

White Wolf Illustrations.

Some months ago I did quite a few illustrations for a couple of White Wolf books. The books are finally on the stands, so I can show and tell.

I had a fun time doing these and discovered a few new techniques in the process. I did 19 portraits for Fall of the Camarilla, and 5 for the new Scion book.

Redeemer layouts.

More Redeemer Stuff. My Layouts for the Redeemer intro.

Sketchy Doodles

Scarlett from Gi Joe.. I did a quick layout for Scarlett and then took 2 months to finish it.. It really doesn't look much like her.. I'll give it another go in the future.

And here is my very "bright" version of black cat.. I might fill in some black on her one day..

Character Sketches

I've been working on a 9 page preview for a proposal I'm doing with a writer. I got the thumbnail for the comic finished, and then realized I should actually design the characters.

Hopefully the pictures speak for themselves.

Redeemer Character Designs

I'm still working on the sequential pages, but I took some time to flesh out the look and feel of the two main characters.

Lots of design ideas and coaching from John Christopher.

Orion Quick Sketch

I did this Orion sketch upon request. It went in the back of a sketchbook I sold. (Thanks Jerry).
Absolutely my first time drawing a New God. Luckily I had just saw an episode of Justice League with Orion in it, so I had some understanding of the character.

Cyborg- DC card art

I can finally add this piece that I did quite a few months ago. My studio mate Tom Feiser hooked me up with this. They needed the image ASAP, and I knocked out this baby overnight. I did the whole shebang: pencils, inks and colors.

Get Carter

Here is a commission I did for Craig Zablo at StalloneZone. Sly from Get Carter.

Going ape..

Just wanted to draw a simian looking bloke..

Fire in the Hole

Quick sketch for fun- ala' Sgt.Fury etc...

final cards

Here are the final inked and toned cards.

Card Commission

Wow.. It's been over a month since I last posted.. I have been drawing-quite a lot. And that's the reason that I haven't had time to post. I have some stuff I'm itching to share, but alas, I signed some silly contracts with some non-disclosure clauses in them.

But.. I've got a great opportunity to do some sketch cards for Michael DiBenedetto. Here are the cards in the sketch phase.. keep posted for the finals- coming soon.

One Uncouth Dude

Been working on some RPG illos.. this is a sketch I created in the process..

New commission

I just got back from a whirlwind trip to Baltimore. Along with the convention, I took some time to visit family.

I got a chance to do a fun commission for Bill Nolan. It was a pic of Captain Marvel, and I threw in Billy Batson to add some fun to the piece. (I've swiped this image from Bills comicartsfan page, but I don't think he'll mind)
